Almost everyone has an iPhone in their pocket. We’ve become more attached to them, than our friends, partners, even kids. They go with us everywhere we do, and yet, many don’t know the secret abilities their iPhone’s have that they could be using. Want to know how to get the most out of yours? Then check out these super simple and useful iPhone hacks:
Invert The Display
Want to browse in a dark room, like a movie theater, without bothering everyone? Then simply just invert the iPhone’s display colors. It’s easier on the eyes, and actually saves battery power by using less light.
Turn Off Autofocus
Some of you are photographers, or aspiring ones, who want to control the capture of an image yourself. Simply take full control by turning off the phones autofocus feature. You can do this by pressing on the screen until you see “AE/AF Lock” prompt come on.
The Etch-a-Sketch Feature
No, we’re not talking about the actual drawing pad. We’re talking about the iPhone’s ability to undo any typing errors simply by shaking the iPhone, just like an Etch-a-Sketch.
Tell Siri Who Your Mama Is
The iPhone’s assistant, Siri, is much more capable than you think. Make her aware of your relationships by telling her to “call dad”. Siri will then ask you who your daddy is, at which point you can direct her to him on your contact list.
Charge In Airplane Mode
In a hurry but running on empty? Then simply switch your phone to airplane mode to get a faster charge. This simple trick will save you a ton of time. Just don’t forget to turn it off when you’re fully charged.
Check Twitter With Siri
Want to see the latest and greatest news on Twitter, but don’t want to open the app? Simply ask Siri “what Post Planner is saying”, and she’ll retrieve the most recent tweets on your feed. Yes, Siri is that amazing.
Tired of typing “.com” all the time? Then the next time you have to complete a web or email address, just hold down the “.” key to reveal the suffix “.com”.
Shoot A Series
Sometimes you need to take a whole bunch of photos very fast. Like when you’re trying to capture your kid or pet doing something cool. Just hold down the capture button in the camera app, and you’ll record a bunch of images for perfect editing until you release the button.
Know What Your Phone Knows
Want to know what your iPhone knows about you? Then check out the “Frequent Locations” function of it. It’ll let you know where you’ve been, and when. FYI, your phone reveals these locations to other parties, so beware.
Increase Password Strength
Thought you were only limited to just a 4-digit password? Nope, you can go to Settings General Passcode and create a more challenging one? Why do this? Because should you lose your phone, even the most amateur of hackers can crack a 4-digit code.
